Guwahati, the capital city of Assam and home to the world-famous one-horned rhinoceros, is one of the top destinations to visit in India's northeast. Kaziranga is famed for a national park by the same name. Kaziranga National Park is one of the few unspoiled places of eastern India. It is home to the world's biggest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as tigers, elephants, panthers, and bears, as well as thousands of birds. Shillong, which means "abode of clouds," is a lovely hill resort in India's North-East, set among the enchanting Khasi and Garo Hills. It is the country's sole hill station that is accessible from all directions. The city of Cherrapunji is infamous for being one of the wettest places on earth but also has special living root bridges which are equally mesmerizing.

Itinerary Details
Arrive Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station and our representative will receive you at Guwahati Airport/Railway station and assist you to your hotel. After freshening up start your sightseeing with a visit to Kamakhya Temple and then trip to the world's smallest river island, the Peacock island and enjoy its spiritual spirit. Then visit the state museum and get a glimpse of the state's culturally rich history, crafts, traditions, anthropology etc. If you are on a family vacation you can also enjoy visiting Assam State Zoo, Sankardev Kalakshetra and Balaji temple. Now what can be a better way to end the day than enjoying a sunset cruise in the mighty Brahmaputra and endure its beauty. Overnight at hotel.
Wake up early morning have your breakfast and then drive to Kaziranga National Park. Drive through the aromatic tea gardens and greenery and enjoy the nature's richness. It takes around 5 hrs to reach Kaziranga from Guwahati. If time permits take a walk in a tea garden which is located on the edge of the central range of the park. In the evening Check-in your resort and relax for the night.
This morning Wake up to the chirping of the exotic birds and fragrance of the fresh flowers and start your day with the early morning Elephant Safari in the Kaziranga National park. Riding through the abode of these wild animals will give you an experience of lifetime. After the thrilling ride have your breakfast and get mesmerized in the Kaziranga Orchid Park consisting of some rare exotic orchids. In the afternoon enjoy an adventurous ride with the Jeep Safari and watch out for the range of exotic flora and fauna especially the One-horned Rhino. After an exciting day relax for the night enjoying some local cuisines. Overnight at resort.
Today after having breakfast at hotel/resort, start our journey to Shillong from Kaziranga by road amidst the amazingly beautiful landscapes. Enroute stop at the Barapani lake, enjoy a cup of tea and indulge in boating and embrace the beauty of nature. After reaching Shillong check in your hotel. Spend the evening at rest or go for a walk in a nearing market. Here transfer to hotel & overnight stay.
Following breakfast and start your day with a day trip in the Shillong city. Today we go for some local explorations to the sites like the Catholic Cathedral and relish its amazing architecture and serenity and visit Lady Hydari Park named after the first lady of the province and Ward Lake, a pretty artificial lake surrounded by gardens. Later we explore Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls and Sacred Groves in Mawphlang which has been preserved by its natives since ancient times. In the evening we will go to the busy streets of Shillong City like Police Bazaar and Bara Bazaar where you can relish the local cuisines and also go for a shopping spree and treat yourself with some local handicrafts. Have dinner & overnight Stay at Hotel.
Today morning after enjoying breakfast at hotel we set off for the scenic town, Cherrapunji, well known for receiving the highest rainfall in the country which also treats you with some amazing scenery. Here the temperature is lower than Shillong and mostly covered with fog in the monsoon and summer. Start your tour with a thrilling experience by exploring the Mawsmai Cave and get amazed by this Mother Nature’s creation. Then get mesmerized by the beauty of the breathtaking falls of Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls and the Seven Sisters Falls. These waterfalls have their legends and watching them is not only a feast to the eye but also gives peace to the mind. By end of the day visit the Eco Park which gives you the view of the majestic hills and the gorgeous falls.
Following breakfast at the resort, head off to Mawlynnong Village which proud itself to be the cleanest village in Asia. The cleanliness that this small village depicts is just commendable and inspiring. Trek to the oldest natural Root Bridge and give an adventurous touch to your trip. Enjoy the Sky Walk, which is 85 ft bamboo structure and gives a panoramic view of not only the village but also of Bangladesh plains. Next head towards Dawki, which lies on the banks of the Umngot River. Enjoy a beautiful boat ride in its crystal clear water amidst nature's gorgeous creation and feel its essence. Return to Cherrapunji and rest for the night.
Morning after breakfast proceeds towards Guwahati Airport for onward journey.
