Itinerary Details

The colourful heritage tour of Rajasthan starts with your arrival in Delhi, the capital city of India. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative, who will assist you in your transfer to the hotel. You can relax and spend the rest of the day at your leisure, acclimatizing yourself to the sights and sounds of Delhi. Known for its rich history and culture, Delhi is a perfect introduction to the diverse cultural landscape of India. From ancient monuments to bustling markets, Delhi has something for everyone. So, get ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime as you explore the vibrant culture and heritage of Rajasthan.

We will explore the vibrant capital city of Delhi on day 2nd of the trip. The tour starts with a visit to the magnificent Red Fort, which was the residence of the Mughal emperors for over 200 years. Next, we will visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and then head to Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Later in the day, we will visit the iconic India Gate, which is a war memorial dedicated to the Indian soldiers who died during World War I. We will also visit the beautiful Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is the final resting place of the Mughal emperor Humayun. In the evening, we will drive past the President's House and the Parliament House, two of the most important buildings of the Indian government.

Leave Delhi and head towards Mandawa, a town located in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. The journey covers a distance of 280 km and takes approximately 6 hours. Mandawa is famous for its exquisite havelis (mansions), adorned with intricate frescoes and murals. Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and then embark on a tour of the famous havelis of Mandawa, such as the Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, the Murmuria Haveli, and the Jhunjhunwala Haveli. These havelis are a testament to the skill and creativity of the local artisans who created these magnificent works of art. A visit to Mandawa is a must for anyone who wants to experience the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

On day 4, drive from Mandawa to Bikaner. The distance between these two cities is about 160 km, and it takes about 4 hours to cover the distance by road. Bikaner is a city located in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan and is famous for its beautiful palaces and temples. Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and then visit the Junagarh Fort, a magnificent structure that was built in the 16th century. The fort houses several palaces, temples, and pavilions, and is a great example of Rajput architecture. We will also visit the Lalgarh Palace, which was built in the early 20th century and is a fusion of Rajput, Mughal, and European architectural styles. Bikaner is also known for its delicious snacks and sweets, so don't forget to try some of the local delicacies during your visit.

On day 5, drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer, a journey that takes around 6 hours to cover a distance of 325 km. As we leave Bikaner, we will enter the vast expanse of the Thar Desert, where we will see stretches of sand dunes on both sides of the road. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, we will check in at our hotel and then visit the Jaisalmer Fort, which is also known as the Golden Fort because of the golden hue of the sandstone used to build it. We will also visit Patwon ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli, two beautiful havelis that are decorated with intricate carvings and frescoes. At the end of the day, we will return to our hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

On day 6, continue to explore the majestic city of Jaisalmer. Our first stop will be the Gadisar Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by beautiful temples and shrines. Next, we will visit the Salim Singh ki Haveli, a 300-year-old mansion that boasts stunning architecture and intricate carvings. Our next stop will be the Amar Sagar Jain Temple, a beautiful temple made of yellow sandstone. In the evening, we will head to the Sam Sand Dunes to witness a mesmerizing sunset and enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes. The day will end with a cultural program featuring traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance.

On this day, drive to Jodhpur, a city located at the edge of the Thar Desert. Jodhpur is famous for its magnificent forts, palaces, and temples, including the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, which is one of the largest forts in India. Upon arrival in Jodhpur, we will check in at our hotel and then visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which is an architectural masterpiece built in the 15th century. We will also visit Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph made of white marble, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is one of the world's largest private residences. In the evening, explore the local markets of Jodhpur and shop for souvenirs and handicrafts.

On Day 8, travel from Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur. The distance between Jodhpur and Udaipur is approximately 325 km, which takes around 7 hours to cover. On our way to Udaipur, we will stop at Ranakpur, a small town located in the Pali district of Rajasthan. Ranakpur is famous for its beautiful Jain temples, which are known for their intricate carvings and architecture. We will visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple, which is one of the five major pilgrimage sites of the Jain community. After exploring the temple, we will continue our journey to Udaipur, which is also known as the City of Lakes. Udaipur is famous for its beautiful palaces, lakes, and gardens, and we will have plenty of time to explore the city upon arrival.

On Day 9 of the tour, explore the city of Udaipur, also known as the "City of Lakes". Udaipur is one of the most romantic cities in India, famous for its beautiful palaces, lakes, and gardens. We will start our day by visiting the City Palace, a magnificent complex of palaces, courtyards, gardens, and museums. We will also visit the Jagdish Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the most famous temples in Udaipur. In the evening, we will take a boat ride on Lake Pichola, where you can witness the stunning sunset and admire the beautiful view of the City Palace from the water. The boat ride also takes you to the Jag Mandir Palace, a beautiful island palace in the middle of the lake, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner and drinks.

On Day 10, drive from Udaipur to Pushkar, covering a distance of approximately 200 kilometres in 4 hours. Pushkar is a sacred town located on the banks of Pushkar Lake and is one of the oldest cities in India. It is famous for its Brahma Temple, which is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe according to Hindu mythology. Pushkar is also known for its annual Pushkar Camel Fair, which is a popular cultural event that attracts visitors from all over the world. Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and then visit the Brahma Temple and the Pushkar Lake. We will also explore the local bazaars, which are known for their handicrafts and colourful Rajasthani textiles. Overall, Day 10 promises to be a day filled with spirituality and cultural experiences that will leave you mesmerized.

On day 11, drive to Jaipur, also known as Pink City. En route, we will visit Pushkar, a holy town famous for its Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. You can also explore the colourful bazaars of Pushkar, which offer a wide range of handicrafts, jewellery, and textiles. After spending a few hours in Pushkar, we will continue our journey to Jaipur. Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and rest for the night.

On Day 12, visit the "Pink City" of Jaipur. We will start our day with a visit to the famous Amber Fort, which is located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. The fort is known for its stunning architecture, which is a blend of Rajput and Mughal styles. We will then visit the Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Next, we will visit the Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of Winds," which is a stunning five-story building with 953 small windows. In the evening, we will visit the City Palace, which is a beautiful complex of palaces, courtyards, and gardens. We will also visit the Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II. After a day full of sightseeing, we will return to our hotel for an overnight stay.

Today drive from Jaipur to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. This drive takes approximately 5 hours, covering a distance of 240 km. En route, we will visit the historic town of Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. The town is known for its stunning Mughal architecture and monuments, including the Jama Masjid, the Buland Darwaza, and the Tomb of Salim Chishti. After exploring Fatehpur Sikri, we will continue our drive to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and rest for the day.

On Day 14, drive to Delhi from Agra, covering a distance of 225 kilometres in approximately 5 hours. Before leaving Agra, we will visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is a symbol of eternal love and is considered to be the finest example of Mughal architecture. The Agra Fort, on the other hand, was built by Emperor Akbar and served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until the capital was shifted to Delhi. After visiting these iconic landmarks, we will drive to Delhi, where we will spend our last night of the tour, reminiscing about the memories we have created over the past 14 days.

On day 15, we will bid farewell to the vibrant state of Rajasthan as we head back to Delhi for our departure. After breakfast at the hotel, we will check out and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. The tour may have come to an end, but the memories of the majestic forts, colourful markets, and vibrant culture of Rajasthan will stay with you forever. As you depart from Delhi, you will take with you an experience that you will cherish for a lifetime and a newfound appreciation for the rich heritage of Rajasthan.
